Russia’s deadlock in Syria

392_300_25026_yabl_By Grigory Yavlinsky

Grigory Yavlinsky web-site, 08.04.2017

How can it be still unclear to someone that Syria is a trap for Russia? Russia was led into the Syrian trap by the stupidity of Russian foreign policy, its short-sightedness and adventurousness. Any further steps targeted at escalation of Russia’s military actions in Syria only aggravate our situation. The suspension of the memorandum envisaging the mechanisms to avoid incidents between the United States and Russia in Syria means that any stupidity or accident can now lead to a direct clash. In order to fill up the deficit of information Yabloko organised a round table and invited architectures, city developers, housing experts, sociologists and activists. The experts discovered a large number of defects in the project of the Moscow government: from technical details to its constitutionality.

A correspondent of the RBC Novosibirsk Media Agency interviewed Yabloko Deputy Chair Nikolai Rybakov

– Nikolai Igorevich, you were present at the rally against the construction of the landfill site. What do you think about the action?

They take place when initiative groups do not retreat for the line of resistance. If you relax for a moment, the fight is lost.
