YABLOKO won the elections in six Russian regions: from Pskov in the North-West to Sakhalin in the Far East

In regional and local elections of 10 September YABLOKO’s managed to overcome the five per cent threashold in the Pskov region in the North-West, the Moscow region and the Sakhalin region in the Far East. YABLOKO candidates also won in their constituencies in the elections in the Krasnodar Territory, the Moscow region, the Pskov region and the Vologda region. In Moscow YABLOKO obtained 181 mandate in 51 municipal councils, thus becoming the second party in the capital of Russia with the largest number of municipal deputy mandates (after the ruling United Russia).
In the election of the Pskov City Duma (the city parliament) YABLOKO received 8.5 per cent.
In the Pskov region, 17 lists of YABLOKO candidates out of total 23 won the elections in their districts. YABLOKO got 8.5 per cent in the elections of the Pskov City Duma (the city parliament). YABLOKO demonstrated high results in elections in 13 districts: 27 per cent in the Gdovsky district, 18.7 per cent in Usvyatsky, 17 per cent in Pustoshkinsky, 10.2 per cent in Novosokolnichesky, 9.2 per cent in Bezhanitsky, 9 per cent in Palkinsky, 8.3 per cent in Dedovichsky, 8.1 per cent in Novorzhevsky, 7.8 per cent in Locniansky, 6.5 per cent in Krasnogorodsky, 6 per cent in Pushkinogorskiy, 5.6 per cent in Pskovsky, and 5,3 per cent in Dnovsky.
In the Plussky district, YABLOKO got 27.67 per cent (obtaining three mandates on the list), in the Loknyansky district the party received 7.76 per cent (one mandate). YABLOKO member Viktor Arshinov was elected head of the Plussky district.
YABLOKO’s party lists also overcame a five per cent threashold in two cities in the Moscow region – Chekhov (6.9 per cent) and Naro-Fominsk (5.7 per cent), as well as in the city of Korsakov in the Sakhalin region (5.8 per cent).
In addition, nine more candidates from YABLOKO are elected in constituencies (in addition to party lists). Three – in the town of Eisk in the Krasnodar Territory: Evgeny Agafonov, Alexander Baturinets and Alexander Korovainy; Yuri Burov won in the election in the city of Chekhov near Moscow; Nikita Smirnov and Sergei Kryzhov are the winners in Sergiev Posad (the Moscow region); Roman Mertsalov and Alexander Konashenkov became deputies in the Gdovsky district of the Pskov region, Vladimir Nikolayev won in Vytegra in the Vologda region.
