YABLOKO participates in a round table on human rights in social project planning
On December 12, Dr. Galina Mikhaleva, deputy chair of Moscow YABLOKO, participated in a round table on human rights in social project planning, which was held in Russian State University for the Humanities.
The crisis within the EU which takes place due to the increase of the migration flow was discussed during the first session.
Alexander Logunov, dean of the department of political science history and law, spoke about the contradictoriness of the situation when the actions made in accordance with the European values of humanism lead to crises.
Galina Mikhaleva stressed that the values which united the EU remained unchanged: human rights, constitutional state, private property and the priority of a personality over a state.
“The problem is that these are not values for a large number of migrants, so conflicts appear inevitably. As a result, nationalists and populist are becoming more popular [with the voters],” she explained.
