St. Petersburg Forum: Politics is Destroying the Economy
Grigory Yavlinsky web-site, 19.06.2016
The Forum in St. Petersburg demonstrated several things. This forum was not about investment or even the economy…
All were speaking about the economy, but told nothing new – neither [Finance Minister] Anton Siluanov nor [Chair of Central Bank] Elvira Nabiullina, nor [Deputy Chair of the Economic Council under the President of Russia] Alexei Kudrin. A merger of unification of the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts played a positive role in ensuring the single standards of the administration of the law.” That’s it, it is impossible to say better. YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova on the tragedy in Orlando
Facebook, 12.06.2016
The tragedy in Orlando has once again shown not only the fragility and exposure of a human’s life but also demonstrated the consequences of the failure of the authorities to act, since the person who committed this monstrous crime was one of those who do not hide their man-hating views. The aggression as a way to make headlines, dictate one’s vision of norms is blazing up in different parts of the world among people of different views and traditions. I accept no type of cruelty. Radicalism, intolerance, absolutization of one’s ideas are unacceptable. I feel for the residents of Orlando in connection with the tragedy in their city.
