Resolution of the 18th YABLOKO Congress, 10.03.2016
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation introduced a bill on decriminalisation of Articles 115, 116 (intentional infliction of light injury which has temporarily damaged health or caused an insignificant stable loss of general capacity for work and battery) and Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat of murder or infliction of grave injury to health). According to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the following articles must be withdrawn from the criminal legislation and included into the Administrative Violations Code. Read more »

The Russian United Democratic party YABLOKO claims that the trial of Nadezhda Savchenko is revenge and reprisal. Although, the death of the two unarmed people must be investigated carefully and objectively, in practice the trial has zero reputation for a score of reasons: nobody takes it as JUSTICE. Nadezhda Savchenko’s references, including evidently equitable applications,such as for instance the application for transferring the trial to Voronezh, were not satisfied. Read more »

Today, on 1 March, judge of the Tverskoi District Court Elena Bulgakova has sentenced member of YABLOKO Federal Political Committee Sergei Mitrokhin to 10.000 rubles fine for participation in a picket for resignation of Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Chechnya. Politician and economist Grigory Yavlinsky, who was officially announced presidential candidate from YABLOKO by the party Congress on 28 February, delivered his keynote speech. He stressed that frustration and apathy of people in the future were a rival as serious as Vladimir Putin and his system. According to Yavlinsky, the reason for this is that people with their basic needs and interests were never in the focus of the state policy. Yavlinsky announced that his goal would be to conduct reforms for the majority, and the national idea would be respect for a person. Read more »

The YABLOKO party demands from Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of Russia, that he makes a query to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Karelia so that to get the files on the criminal case raised against YABLOKO members in Karelia, examine the validity of the charges and take steps to end this politically motivated prosecution of YABLOKO members. The statement on the inadmissibility of the use of the law enforcement in the political struggle in Karelia was unanimously adopted by the YABLOKO Congress on 28 February. Read more »
