Head of the Communists of Russia party Maxim Suraykin claims that YABLOKO’s registration must be revoked, Russian News Service reported yestersay. He forwarded an official enquiry to the Ministry of Justice and Prosecutor General’s Office demanding to check YABLOKO’s electoral programme for violation of Articles 280 and 280.1 of the Russian Criminal Code: public calls for extremist activities and public calls for actions aimed to violate the territorial integrity of Russia. The YABLOKO party has represented its coalition list of candidates for the State Duma deputies as well as 185 candidates in the single-mandate constituencies. The delegates were discussing the candidatures for 15 hours during the second day of the Congress, July 2. The discussion ended by ballot voting.

The YABLOKO party is going to hold its election congress in Moscow from July 1 to July 3. It will be the longest congress held among all the political parties that are planning to participate in the parliamentary elections. The delegates of the congress will discuss and adopt the electoral programme, they will also nominate the list of candidates for deputies and candidates in single-mandate constituencies. British referendum has ended. From now on Britain and the EU, and Russia will live with this result. All of Europe will think how to respond to the challenge. Such a result has raised a lot of pressing issues, rather than solved some problems. Read more »
The Forum in St. Petersburg demonstrated several things. This forum was not about investment or even the economy…
All were speaking about the economy, but told nothing new – neither [Finance Minister] Anton Siluanov nor [Chair of Central Bank] Elvira Nabiullina, nor [Deputy Chair of the Economic Council under the President of Russia] Alexei Kudrin. Vladimir Putin’s report, as before, touched upon about many important things, however, the President did not formulate convincing definite solutions for improvement of hideous business climate and reduction of state intervention into business. A quote: “The domestic legal community have accomplished much for improvement of the quality of justice in the recent years. A merger of unification of the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts played a positive role in ensuring the single standards of the administration of the law.” That’s it, it is impossible to say better.
