Yabloko to support a rally against the government’s “housing renovation programme”

Municipal deputy and member of the Regional Council of the Moscow branch of Yabloko Elena Rusakova became one of the initiators of a rally against the government’s “housing renovation programme”, which gives the city authorities the exclusive rights to demolish five-story buildings.
Yabloko claims that the programme deprives Muscovites of their private property. The party calls its supporters to join the action, which will probably take place on 14 May.
Yabloko also tried to organise a rally against the “house renovation programme” but the city hall did not authorize the application.
On 20 April, activists of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO held a series of one-person pickets by the State Duma protesting against the draft law initiated by Moscow government on “housing renovation”, which the State Duma had to consider in the first reading.
