Deputies of the Yabloko faction in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg sent an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The appeal by Yabloko deputies runs that it is necessary to issue a decree on the end of “partial mobilization”.
“The absence of such a [presidential] decree (at the moment there are only oral statements made by a number of officials about the end of partial mobilisation, but no legal acts) creates legal uncertainty and, on the one hand, allows the conscription of citizens to military service within the framework of mobilisation, and on the other hand, allows commanders of military units and courts to refuse citizens asking for dismissal from military service,” Yabloko MPs note in the appeal.
The Yabloko deputies noted that many voters turned to the Yabloko faction in St.Petersburg, reporting violations of the rights of citizens in this situation.
“We only hear words from government officials about the end of mobilisation, but they have no legal significance. Not only this creates uncertainty, but also increases anxiety and tension in society. Mothers worry about their children, wives about their husbands, sisters about their brothers, because the absence of a presidential decree to end the period of “partial mobilisation” leaves room for arbitrariness. This opportunity should be closed by issuing a relevant decree,” Boris Vishnevsky, deputy head of the faction in the Legislative Assembly and Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party, says.
Earlier, deputies from Yabloko from Moscow, Karelia, Pskov and Novgorod sent similar appeals to the Russian President.
