On October 10 a journalist, radio and TV reporter, ex editor-in-chief of the Crimean radio station “Electron” Valeri Donskoy died with pneumonia in Moscow. Valeri had been working in Ukraine for the past months and was captured in Eastern Ukriane at the end of September. Read more »

Grigory Yavlinsky: I will not take part in the inauguration of Grigory Poltavchenko as St.Petersburg Governor tomorrow. Gubernatorial elections in St.Petersburg were conducted with numerous violations, politicians who had much support in St.Petersburg – such as Oksna Dmitiyeva – were not allowed to run, and a questionable mass-scale voting by absentee ballots was held. Mass-scale fraud was reported by observers and mass media at St.Petersburg municipal elections. Therefore, Grigory Poltavchenko has been and still is an appointed Governor rather than an elected one.
