Mitrokhin qualifies the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister’s son CEO as a conflict of interests
Press release, 02.05.2017
Sergei Mitrokhin, a member of Yabloko’s Federal Political Committee and head of the party’s Anti-Corruption Policy Centre, applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Government of the RF demanding to verify compliance of the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers’s son CEO with the legislation on the prevention and management of conflict of interests.
Yabloko claims that Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin did not settle the conflict of interests with his son Alexei Rogozin, who was appointed CEO of OAO Ul aircraft engineering enterprise on May 2 and Vice-President of United Aircraft Corporation in March.
The controlling share of both companies belongs to the Russian Government while Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin is in charge of the aerospace industries and the defense military complex.
“Rogozin had enough time to announce that the appointment of his son may influence his impartiality. He did not do that, Mitrokhin said.
According to the politician, Rogozin violated the law because he did not inform the Government about the conflict of interests.
