Boris Vishnevsky: I receive hundreds of appeals from voters asking me to do everything possible to stop the bloodshed
Press Release, 28.03.2022
Boris Vishnevsky, MP of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg and Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party, spoke on the air of the Partburo programme about the problems that St. Petersburg residents have most often addressed to him. Vishnevsky said that topics of great concern to the residents of the city were the hard situation with medicines, problems in the housing and communal services and social aid, as well as concerns about inflation and rising prices.
Boris Vishnevsky stressed that he had received more than a hundred letters from citizens asking for peace in Ukraine.
“People are asking to stop the bloodshed, so that shooting and killings are stopped, so that peace is installed. These appeals demonstrate absolutely sincere and deep concern of people, they are not written according to a single pattern. I would like to say that I have received only one appeal of the opposite nature for the past three weeks,” Vishnevsky noted.
“People are well aware that all of today’s economic problems are a consequence of the situation that has arisen, the reaction of the economy to politics. If we want to change these consequences, then we need to somehow influence the causes,” Boris Vishnevsky said.
The Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party also spoke in detail about the shortage of medicines in St. Petersburg. Boris Vishnevsky noted that due to the isolation of Russia, logistics chains were broken, and there were also problems with paying suppliers, which, coupled with increased demand, led to a serious shortage and rise in prices for medicines. The quality of dental services for citizens turned out to be also under threat, since a significant part of medical materials and pharmaceuticals in this field were imported.
