A member of the Saratov branch of Yabloko complained to the Central and the Regional Electoral Commission that someone voted on amendments to the Constitution instead of her and her family
Press Release, 3.07.2020
On June 29, Arina Gerasimova, a member of the Yabloko party, came to the polling station of the precinct electoral commission No. 53 of Saratov. The members of the commission refused to give her a ballot due to the fact that her signature was in the voters book and she had allegedly voted already.
In addition, while reading the voters’ book, she discovered that her relatives living at the same address had allegedly voted outside the polling station. However, her brother now lives outside the Russian Federation and did not participate in the vote. After her remarks, the members of the commission became nervous and crossed out with a pen the indicated entries in the voters book.
It is worth noting that shortly before this, members of the commission visited her house and asked from her father whether the rest of the family would vote.
All this clearly indicates a gross violation of the voting procedure by the members of the electoral commission: possible stuffing of ballots, which affects the results of the voting.
The Saratov branch of Yabloko helped Arina Gerasimova to write a complaint to the Central Electoral Commission and the Electoral Commission of the Saratov Region.
It should be noted that similar situations were repeatedly reported during the All-Russian vote. A great public outcry was caused by the incident that occurred in Moscow at polling station No. 1403 in Lefortovo when a family of muscovites found out that someone had already voted for all of them during home voting.
