July 30 marks the 60th anniversary of Lev Shlosberg, member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko and leader of the Pskov regional branch of the party. Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov and Grigory Yavlinsky, Yabloko founder and Chairman of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, congratulate Lev Shlosberg on his jubilee.

Dear Lev Markovich,

Happy anniversary!

You are a respected, principled and honest politician. You show with all your work that it is possible to be such a politician in modern Russian politics.

Over the years of work in the party, you have invested a huge amount of work and effort to ensure that Yabloko gets new supporters. You have never been afraid to use new approaches for this and explained to people what was happening in the country not only as a politician, but also as a journalist and human rights defender.

Now is a hard time. But, despite all the difficulties and obstacles, you have never surrendered or given up the fight. I am certain, it will be the same now.

I would like to wish all the best to the entire team of the Pskov Yabloko — to every person with whom we were lucky to work.

Lev Markovich, and most importantly, I am wishing peace to all of us!

You have achieved a lot: independent thinking, understanding of what life should be like in our country, and what Yabloko should be like.

Your loyalty to the ideas and principles of freedom and democracy, our political and moral principles have made you one of the brightest politicians in Russia.

I am sure that the enemies (as we can hardly call these people “opponents”) will not break you – you will  achieve a lot with your open anti-war stance.

You dared not to flee Russia despite the repression. History does not forget such actions.

I am glad that we are working together.
