Yabloko to nominate Yevgeny Roizman for governor of the Sverdlovsk Region

Yabloko is determined to nominate Yekaterinburg Mayor Yevgeny Roizman for governor of the
Sverdlovsk Region, the Urals. The party is carrying on negotiations with him at the moment.

“Roizman is a brave, experienced person. We are familiar with the main principals of his programme and they command respect,” Chair of Yabloko Federal Political Committee Grigory Yavlinsky said.
According to the charter of the party, the candidate will be nominated by the regional party branch. Then the candidacy has to be approved by Yabloko’s Bureau.
“As far as we know, Yevgeny Roizman’s political views are close to Yabloko’s [programme], I hope that no problems will raise,” Yavlinsky noted.
Yevgeny Roizman openly supported Yabloko in the parliamentary election of 2016.
Gubernatorial elections in the Sverdlovsk Region will take place on September 10, 2017.
