Yabloko observers record large-scale manipulations with early voting
Press Release, 13.09.2020
On 13 September, a single voting day in Russia, the Yabloko party launched a hotline for calls on violations at polling stations.
The most widespread violation, which Yabloko observers record as of 15:00 (Moscow time) is manipulation of the results of early voting. Calls about this came from more than half of the regions where candidates from the party participate in elections.
Thus, there were only 147 voters on the early voting lists at polling station No. 147 in the Kaliningrad region, however, almost four times more ballots (539) were included in the enlarged protocol form.
At polling station No. 3517 in Elektrostal (Moscow region), 368 people voted early, while according to the voter lists, there should have been only 160 of early voters.
In Bashkiria, at a number of polling stations, there were no early voting marks in the voter lists at all, despite the fact that there were ballots cast by early voters.
At polling station No. 1894 in Saratov, 44 ballots were issued for early voting, however, there turned out to be 58 ballots cast by early voters when opening the security bag with ballots from those who voted early.
The second common violation is the opening of security bags with early voting ballots on the night of September 13.
Thus, security bags were opened at polling station No. 402 in Astrakhan, at three polling stations (No. 219, 220, 221) in Ivanovo, and at a number of polling stations in the Kamchatka Territory on the night of 13 September.
In Rostov-on-Don, at polling station No. 1999, observers also suggest that there was pre-term opening the security bag, because in the morning they discovered that everything was rearranged in the safe box where the security bag with ballots was kept.
In Birobidzhan, numerous cases of voting of non-existent people were revealed. Such cases were reported by citizens who found out the some “ghost voters” had been registered in their apartments.
At polling station No. 53 in Tomsk and at polling station No. 195 in Miass (Chelyabinsk region), observers from Yabloko recorded an organised transportation of voters.
Candidates from Yabloko take part in more than 150 election campaigns of different levels in 36 regional of the Russian Federation.
