YABLOKO launched a campaign for resignation of vice-Moscow mayor Marat Khusnullin
Press release, 21.01.2015
YABLOKO launched a campaign for resignation of vice-Moscow mayor for town-planning policy Marat Khusnullin.
Since 2010, the year when he was appointed, a serious damage has been done to the historic and cultural image of Moscow as about 40 historic buildings were knocked down.
The last case was with the unlawful destruction of tenement Privalov’s house, the place where Sergei Yesenin had presented his poems to the public for the first time. What is more, the editorial office of Mlechny put [Milky way] magazine was situated there in 1913-1916. The Privalov’s houses complex was also an example of the Moscow modern architect style.
Khusnullin’s policy leads Moscow to architectural death.
YABLOKO launched the collection of signatures for resignation of Marrat Khusnullin.
YABLOKO conducted a series of one-person picketing demanding resignation of Khusnullin. Street actions will continue to take place.
