Yabloko Chair Emilia Slabunova demanded that Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, take the investigation into the attack on Adam Medaliyev, one of the party leaders in Kabardino-Balkaria, under his personal control. On 7 November, unidentified assailants attacked him, beat him, and set his car on fire in the evening of the same day.

According to Yabloko, the attack and arson of the car represent a warning to Adam Medaliyev, and further crimes against him with more serious consequences are likely.

The file of the Adam Medaliyev case is examined by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Chegemsky District and the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Nalchik. According to the information available to the party, at present, criminal cases have not yet been initiated.

We associate the attack on Adam Medaliyev with his active public and professional activities: he defends in arbitration courts the interests of residents of the republic who are deprived of the rights to the plots of land they live on, the address of Yabloko’s Chair runs.
