YABLOKO candidate Nikolai Kavkazsky beaten in Moscow

Nikolai Kavkazsky, YABLOKO candidate to the North Medevedkovo Municipal Council in Moscow, human rights activist, lawyer and ex-prisoner of the Bolotnaya Rally Case, has just been severely beaten by the three unknown men during campaigning in his district.
According to Kavkazskiy, he was campaigning in Shirokaya street 20. “A drunk man approached me and asked what I was doing there. My answer “campaigning” was immediately followed by a blow,” he said.
Kavkazsky was beaten by three people, who knocked Nikolai of his legs and continued severe beating. Nikolai got about 30 blows.
The attackers ran away. One of them drew a car and Kavkazskiy managed to put down the number of the car. Another assailant fled in one of the entrances. “Apparently, this man lives here, I noticed that he had a key to the door entry system,” Nikolai said.
The police was called to the scene of the accident.
