YABLOKO and PARNAS formed electoral coalition in the Altai Territory

On 22 March, Chair of the Altai branch of YABLOKO Alexander Goncharenko and Chair of the local branch of PARNAS Gennady Sheida signed a declaration on the formation of the electoral coalition on YABLOKO’s platform at the elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Altai Territory. The elections will take place on 18 September, 2016, on the same day with the elections to the State Duma.
According to Alexander Goncharenko and Gennady Sheida, they had formed a single candidates list for the elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Altai Territory. They claim that they are ready to consider the potential candidates who are perturbed by the increase of the social and economic crisis in Russia and who share fundamental democratic values.
The formation of the coalition will allow to attract both the candidates and the voters who have been calling for the consolidation of the two parties for a long time. Alexander Goncharenko claims that a single candidates’ list of the opposition parties will open the possibility to form an active and principled faction at the Legislative Assembly. Gennady Sheida stresses that the electoral coalition has bioth the human resource and the programme.
