Vladimir Ryzhkov: It is high time that Russia “sobers up”!
According to Vladimir Ryzhkov, YABLOKO candidate in the State Duma elections, the results of the election will affect the tax burden. He expressed this opinion in the Arena Sobitiy (The Arena of Events) by the OnlineTV.
Answering the question how to make people come to the polling stations Ryzhkov noted that “each voter is a taxpayer”, the state takes away 43 roubles out of every 100 roubles paid by people in taxes, which is a lot, and, thus, “elections are about how the taxpayers’ money is spent”, how these 43 roubles are spent.
Today the state “spends 55 per cent on of the collected taxes on the state bureaucracy, law enforcement agencies, and the so-called national economy, which means subsidising non-efficient state corporations”, Ryzhkov stressed.
“The [ruling] United Russia has been holding the policies of raising taxes for the past 15 years since its foundation. So any voter who votes on 18 September for the [ruling] United Russia party, will vote for the rise of taxes,” Ryzhkov said.
Also, accruing to Ryzhkov, for the past seven – eight years, United Russia has been pursuing the policies of increasing the expenditures on the military, law enforcement, bureaucracy and state monopolies at the expense of spending on education, healthcare, regional budgets, science, culture and sports. “Therefore, if a person votes for United Russia, he votes for raising of taxes that will be spent of these ‘wonders’.”
