“There will be no winners, everyone has lost.” Nikolai Rybakov on the NTV television channel about why it is necessary to stop the bloodshed now
Nikolai Rybakov’s Telegram channel, 8.10.2024
The fighting in Ukraine has been going on for two and a half years. Politicians continue talking about “victory”. But no one understands that when there are so many victims, no one has won, everyone has lost.
Politicians have proven that they failed to do their job by allowing so many people to die in the 21st century.
We may not have seen the final document on changing the nuclear doctrine [of the RF] yet, but I don’t want to check at the cost of Russian lives how much Vladimir Putin is bluffing or how much Western politicians have understood everything correctly or incorrectly.
It is obvious that there are channels for negotiations. They have actually been going on all this time between the armed forces of Russia and Ukraine on the issue of exchanging prisoners of war. According to journalists, there were already more than 50 of them [such exchanges].
Plus, we continue economic relations with Ukraine, in particular, on gas. Maybe then, after all, we can talk about more serious things?
Because this means that it is not a wall that is between us. It means there is an opportunity to find mediators. It means there is a chance for ceasefire negotiations. And for this it is not at all necessary to wait that in ten years the “Korean scenario” that Aleksandar Vučić predicts us will end the conflict.
Preventing bloodshed and killings of soldiers and civilians on both sides is possible and need to be done right now.
That’s what I spoke about on the NTV television channel.
