Coming these days to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Piskarevskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg, and other memorial burial places, we think that the war should no longer be repeated. This is our responsibility before those who gave their lives for us to live.
Grigory Yavlinsky:
– Victory Day is one of the most important days of the year. This is a day of sorrow, memory and pride. Pride for our people and our Motherland. Victory Day is a day of remembrance of how many people gave their lives for us to be free, so that people be respected in our country, and so that people could live without fear in our country.
On 8 May, activists of the St. Petersburg branch of Yabloko will lay flowers at the Piskarevskoye cemetery.
On 9 May, members and supporters of Yabloko from Moscow will traditionally come to the Preobrazhenskoye cemetery – the largest military burial in the capital.
