The regional branch of the Yabloko party in the Ryazan region considers vacation of Yulia Rokotyanskaya, head of the municipality – the city of Ryazan and Chair of the Ryazan City Duma, during an active struggle against coronavirus be blatant cynicism.

“If Rokotyanskaya, whose maintenance costs [Ryazan] millions of roubles a year, wanted to demonstrate in this way that she was absolutely worthless, then she succeeded,” said Konstantin Smirnov, Chairman of the Ryazan branch of Yabloko.

“No references to family and other circumstances can be a reason for the vacation of the head of the city, when many residents of this city were left without work and do not understand their perspectives. It is the residents who maintain Rokotyanskaya and many of other loafers with unclear responsibilities,” added the leader of the party’s regional branch.

The Ryazan branch of Yabloko calls on the City Duma to dismiss Yulia Rokotyanskaya from her post drawing attention to the fact that this does not require any complicated procedures, just a simple vote.

It should be noted that on 1 April, Yulia Rokotyanskaya went on vacation at a time when the residents of Ryazan are trying to implements the measures to combat the pandemic. Many Ryazan residents unsuccessfully try to get information from city officials, in particular, information related to the problems of job cuts and job placement, as well as other vital issues.
