Judge of the Pskov Regional Court upheld the decision of the Pskov City Court of 20 April finding Lev Shlosberg, a member of the Federal Political Committee of the Yabloko party and Chairman of the Pskov branch of Yabloko, guilty of “discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation”.
It should be noted that administrative protocols were drawn up against Lev Shlosberg and his wife Zhanna Shlosberg. The Pskov City Court imposed a fine of 32,000 roubles on the Lev Shlosberg and 30,000 roubles on his wife.
According to the police and the court, Lev Shlosberg “discredited the armed forces of the Russian Federation” by posting on the social network VKontakte a commentary about the protest action of journalist Marina Ovsyannikova on Channel One live broadcast on 15 March.
The decision of the court has entered into force. However, Lev Shlosberg is preparing an appeal.
It should be noted that Shlosberg was convicted for the second time of “discrediting the army” by the decision of the Pskov City Court for a video commentary on the Grazhdanin TV channel. The politician also intends to challenge this decision.
