Andrei Morev, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow branch of Yabloko, and Denis Bolshakov, a member of the Regional Council of the Moscow branch of the party, filed an application to the Moscow Mayor’s Office for a demonstration on 27 March from 14:00 to 19:00.
Yabloko notified the Mayor’s Office of a public even ten days prior of a planned event as required by the law and are now waiting for an official response from the Mayor to confirm the place and date. We will publish the decision of the Moscow Mayor’s Office as soon as we receive it.
Since, after the submission of the previous application for the demonstration, the police in the regions regarded publications about it on social networks as calls for participation in an unpermitted action, we emphasise: this message informs about the filing of an application and does not call anyone to anything.
Yabloko continues to seek compliance with Article 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation guaranteeing the right of citizens of the Russian Federation to assemble peacefully, without weapons, hold meetings, rallies and demonstrations, processions and picketing.
