On Saturday, December 7, the first after a long pause meeting of the Miass local branch of the Yabloko party will take place in Miass, the Chelyabinsk region. The meeting will elect the Chairperson of this Yabloko branch, deputy chairs and members of the local Council. Also a meeting-lecture for those wishing to become candidates for deputies, interviews for those wishing to join the party, as well as registration of supporters will take place during the event.

At the seminars of the School of the Deputy Yabloko activists will tell potential candidates how to conduct election campaigns, cover the topic of the powers and sources of influence of municipal deputies and deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region.

Yaroslav Shcherbakov, Chairman of the Chelyabinsk branch of Yabloko, noted that municipal and regional policies are the best school of public administration. First of all, this is work in direct contact with voters – and this is the only chance to break the existing plutocratic system.

“We are ready to accept into our team not only well-known managers and public activists with democratic convictions, but also those who are just starting their political path. Moreover, the main thing is not what separates us, but the desire to improve our homecity, region and country,” the leader of the regional branch emphasised.

Earlier, after a long break, the local branch of the Yabloko party resumed its work in Magnitogorsk, the Chelyabinsk region.
