The cases of two of the five defenders of the Constitution were returned by the judges to the police for revision

At present two cases (that of Grigory Semyonov, Deputy Chair of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO and Moscow municipal deputy, and party activist Stanislav Beliansky) have been sent by the judges to the police for revision. Such decisions were adopted by the judges of the Tverskoy District Court, Moscow.
So the police had to release Semyonov and Beliansky, making them to sign an obligation to appear in the Tverskoy District Court upon request. Semyonov and Belyansky have been under arrest for 49 hours. Now the activists have left the courthouse.
The other three cases – those of Sergei Mitrokhin, Anton Antonov-Ovseyenko and Igor Bakirov – still may be heard today. The case of Antonov-Ovseyenko was supposed to start at 10:00, but still has not started. The cases of Sergei Mitrokhin (scheduled for 14:00) and Igor Bakirov (15:00) have not been submitted to court by now yet.
Also Andrei Babushkin, member of the Presidential Council for Civil Society Development and Human Rights issued a statement where he called the case against the defenders of the Constitution unlawful.
