Deputy of the Pskov Region Legislative Assembly and Chair of the Pskov Region branch of Yabloko Lev Shlosberg made a speech at the 6th Franz Fafka and George Orwell intellectual forum. It is an All-Russia discussion platform where all individuals may take part in the discussion of most topical events and communicate with experts. The topic which Shlosberg covered was called “Political life in the absence of public affairs: how to live and how to survive”. The politician defined the state of public affairs in modern Russia as a human habitat that lost all natural forms of political life.
Shlosberg analysed the reasons that lead to the current state of affairs as well as subjective and objective conditions for further development. He also reflected on the possible future outcomes.
What should you do if you understand what is going on in the country, disapprove of it and want to defend your freedom? Lev Shlosberg answered these questions and provoked a broad discussion among the participants of the forum.
Former Yekaterinburg Mayor Evgeny Royzman, economist Evgeny Gontmakher, journalists Ilya Azar, Nikolai Svanidze, Ilya Vasyunin, Olesya Gerasimenko and other experts participated in the forum.
