Maxim Kruglov’s team collected over 6,000 signatures in favour of amendments to the law on capital repairs of residential housing
Press Release, 19.08.2014
YABLOKO candidate to the Moscow City Duma deputy Maxim Kruglov and his team have collected over 6,000 signatures of Moscow residents in favour of amendments to the law on capital repairs of residential housing.
Due to the amendments adopted by the State Duma, citizens will have to pay for the capital repairs themselves since this Fall. The money will go to some aggregate fund in the city budget and it will be impossible to control the expenditures.
According to Kruglov, the only way to avoid corruption is to open a separate account for each block of flats so that the citizens could control the financial operations.
Maxim Kruglov joined YABLOKO when he was 17 year old, now he is 27 and is a post-graduate student at Russian State University for the Humanities. Kruglov works at YABLOKO anti-corruption centre which managed to save over 800 million rubles (approx. 16, 577, 100 Euro) of budget money due to its investigations.
