Krasnoyarsk will protest against election fraud in a rally
On Wednesday, 5 October, a joint rally of different political parties under the slogan “For Fair Elections” will take place in Krasnoyarsk. It is expected that the rally will bring together over 5,000 people who want to express their protest against the rigged elections in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Immediately after the results of elections to the State Duma and the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were announced, representatives of YABLOKO and other parties made a joint statement on non-recognition of the election results because of the fraud.
Chair of the regional branch of YABLOKO Oksana Demchenko told to the TVK television company that “At two o’clock touch screen voting machines were disabled. And this gave the grounds for introduction of manual counting of the votes, so that different ballot boxes were brought in. Two electoral commission members in the Mansky District recorded the fact of re-writing final protocols from the polling stations. We have a notarised the screenshots, which showed that as of 14:45 about 63,000 people voted for YABLOKO, but already as of 17:00 it turned out that only 55,000 voters cast ballots for YABLOKO… There are many such questions and all this gives us the reason to believe that the elections were conducted in an unorganized and unlawful manner. We question the results of the voting. ”
Representatives of all the political parties participating in tomorrow’s rally offer to dismiss Viktor Tolokonsky, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Sergei Ponomarenko, his first deputy, and Konstantin Bocharov, head of the regional electoral commission.
