Grigory Yavlinsky on YABLOKO election results
Blog post by Grigory Yavlinsky, 14.09.2015
The YABLOKO party lists won elections to four city parliaments: in Tomsk (5.54 per cent), most likely in Kostroma (6.55 per cent, as over 50 per cent of ballots have been counted). In Kaluga, Alexei Kolesnikov, Chair of local YABLOKO branch, passes to the city parliament in a single-mandate constituency. Vladimir Mikhailov who obtained 37 per cent of the vote in his district passes to the Kostroma Regional Duma.
Thus, YABLOKO representatives will work in six regional parliaments.
We won in the Nevelsky (11.37 per cent) and the Sebezhsky (5.02 per cent) districts of the Pskov region, the Pechenegsky district (9.93 per cent) of the Murmansk region, and such cities as Zheleznogorsk (7.59 per cent) and Sharypovo (6.10 per cent) of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Single-mandate candidates won in ten municipal units.
In the present political environment of Russia – the war, long-term and out and out propaganda, mass media absolute concentration on the PARNAS [party] – YABLOKO managed to achieve a sound result.
At the same time, it is most important that our candidates ran in the elections expressing a clear political stance, stating their categorical disagreement with the internal and international policy of the Russian authorities and having signed the electoral Memorandum. The Memurandum defines the situation with Crimea as an annexation, condemns Stalinism and nationalism, and runs that the European choice represents the only alternative for our country [to the present regime].

I am grateful to our voters for the support, thank you all!
My congratulations to the winners!
Also I would like to express my gratitude to our party members and activists who helped with organisation of election campaigns in the regions!
I express my gratitude to the YABLOKO federal electoral head-quarters and the party staff for their word at the elections!
Thanks to all of you and let’s go on working.
Yours,
Grigory Yavlinsky
