With the support of party leaders and candidates ahead of the upcoming elections in Russia, Russian United Democratic Party (YABLOKO – LI full-member) founder and candidate, Grigory Yavlinsky, has presented a new YABLOKO platform and introduced his colleagues running for office in September.
This new YABLOKO democratic coalition includes new young and ambitious individuals he described as “the Russian politicians of today and tomorrow”, who share similar visions, principles, and ideas for the future betterment of the country.
“It is not just a coalition, it is a union of people who are fighting and who will continue fighting for the future of our country. They are the people whose political activity has proved that they respect people, they respect Russia and [want our country] to have a decent future and they know how to bring it to life,” stated Yavlinsky.
The party founder insists that this change will not affect the fundamental objectives that YABLOKO has been committed to for the past 25 years: not participating in corrupt transactions, not being involved in shameful compromises and only speaking the truth to their voters.
Earlier in July 2016, party leader Emilia Slabunova presented a coalition for democracy, which launched YABLOKO’s electoral programme for the upcoming elections. The national elections in Russia will take place on 18 September 2016.
“If everyone takes two, three or better ten people to the polling station not only are we are going to win, we will change the situation in the country,” concluded Yavlinsky.
