Emilia Slabunova heads YABLOKO candidates list in the elections to the regional parliament of Karelia
Emilia Slabunova, Chair of the YABLOKO party and MP in the Legislative Assembly of Karelia at present, topped YABLOKO list in the elections to the parliament of the Republic of Karelia. This decision was adopted yesterday by the conference of the Karelian branch of the party.
The top of YABLOKO list in Karelia contains three candidates: Emilia Slabunova, Olga Zaletskaya, deputy of the Petrozavodsk City Council, and Natalia Dyachkova, multiple champion of Europe and Russia in Thai boxing.
The total list of the YABLOKO party in Karelia consists of 18 regional groups, each has three candidates – a total of 54 people. The list includes Svetlana Chechil, member of the Federal Council of the party and former head of Prionezhsky Municipal District of Karelia, Anastasia Kravchuk, Deputy Chair of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia and member of the YABLOKO faction in the Legislative Assembly, Dmitry Rybakov, member of the Federal Bureau of YABLOKO and senior researcher at the Institute of Geology of the Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences, Ivan Gusev, Editor-in-Chief of Kareliaskaya Gubernia paper and Valentina Nosova, Chair of the Veterans’ Council of one of the districts in Petrozavodsk.
Karelian YABLOKO also nominated candidates in 18 single-mandate constituencies. Alexandra Spiridonova, head of the YABLOKO faction in the Legislative Assembly of Karelia, will run in one of the constituencies.
Elections to the Legislative Assembly of Karelia will be held on a single voting day 18 September.
YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova will also run for the State Duma of Russia, she is number two in top ten candidates of the federal party list.
Anastasia Kravchuk, Vice-Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia, also heads one of the regional groups of the federal party list (the groups includes Karelia, Komi, the Arkhangelsk, the Kaliningrad and the Murmansk Region, the Nenetsky, the Khanty-Mansi and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Districts).
