Deputy Lev Shlosberg makes an inquiry about the results of the pre-investigation check on dissident Ildar Dadin’s case
Deputy of the Pskov Region Legislative Assembly Lev Shlosberg made an inquiry to the Federal Service for Execution of Punishment and the Investigative Committee of the RF about the pre-investigation of torture allegations in respect of dissident Ildar Dadin.
At the moment Ildar Dadin is serving a two and a half years sentence in a penal colony for repeated participation in opposition protest actions. In a letter to his wife Dadin wrote that had been beaten, tortured and threatened with murder.
In his deputy’s inquiry to the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Lev Shlosberg notes that the information on tortures, which appeared in the media, reflects fragrant violations of international human rights treaties, which were ratified by the Russian Federation, the Constitution of the RF, federal laws, including the Criminal Code of the RF.
