Court unlawfully removed YABLOKO’s candidate from elections in Yeysk
Chair of the Yeysk branch of YABLOKO (the Krasnodar Territory) Alexandr Korovayny announced that the court removed him from participation in the elections to the Yeysk City Council. The court satisfied the demand of United Russia’s (the ruling party) Vladimir Pologovsky who claims that YABLOKO violated its organisation charter when nominating the candidate.
“I was nominated by YABLOKO Federal Bureau since the activity of the Krasnodar regional branch was temporarily suspended and there are no party governing bodies at the moment. So, the procedure of nomination was absolutely correct. Unfortunately, the court satisfied unlawful demands. We are going to appeal against the decision”, commented Korovayny.
YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin claim the accusations against Korovayny are sophisticated.
The elections to the City Council will take place on September 14, 2014.
