Chelyabinsk branch of Yabloko to organise a flash mob on Vladimir Putin’s birthday

The Chelyabinsk branch of Yabloko will organise a flash mob on 7 October, the birthday of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. According to Chair of the regional party branch Yaroslav Shcherbakov, the latest trend is to raise everything – the retirement age, VAT rate, petrol excise duty and so on. “President Putin is the author of these initiatives.”
This is why Yabloko will organise the flash mob “For the Raising…” The participant of the action will release ballots with “vain hopes and light-minded belief in promises”.
Shcherbakov explains that Yabloko also supports the raising trend but of a different kind. For example, the party stands for the improvement of the living standard and strengthen the governments’ accountability to the society.
Yabloko called upon the residents to join the flash mob and write their wishes on the ballots the release them. This way Yabloko plans to remind the government about the campaign promises.
