Boris Vishnevsky: firestarters help fire victims
Boris Vishnevsky’s blog at the Echo Moskvi website, 12.08.2014
It’s obvious that Eastern Ukraine needs humanitarian aid.
But the hypocrisy of Russia’s authorities who proposed this initiative and every day slop crocodile tears over the sufferings of the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk(the sufferings are real, no doubt about this) is equally obvious.
If Putin, Lavrov, Medvedev and Churkin are so worried about the needs of the residents of the Eastern Ukriane then they have an absolutely safe way to stop the “humanitarian aid”.
Such as closing the border, withdrawing the troops, stopping the flow of warmongers and weapons, public conviction of separatism and admitting the right of Ukraine to protect its territorial integrity, stopping daily lies about the non-existent “Novorossia” on TV and stopping to call the local bandits and Russia’s warmongers the “militants” who heroically fight against the “Kyiv junta”.
Those who don’t believe in this method should have a look at Slavyansk, Kramatorsk or Mariupol where there are no any “militants” anymore and no “humanitarian catastrophe” as well.
And where the citizens remember the times of “public mayors” as a nightmare. And the “catastrophe” is only at the place where the “militants” rule.
This means that the “militants” are the reason and the catastrophe is the result.
What to start with to remedy the situation is a task for primary school.
The same thing concerns the “humanitarian catastrophe” in the Gaza Strip which is the direct result of the transformation of the territory into a huge missile unit.
Do you want to overcome the “catastrophe”? Demand form Hamas not to bomb Israel and from Israel not to respond with blockage.
Do you want the “peaceful Palestinians” not to die and the schools not to be ruined? Demand from Hamas not to bomb houses and not to make missile storages in school buildings…
But Russia’s (the same as Hamas’s) propaganda turn everything inside out mixing pu reasons with results on purpose.
This way the reason for the “humanitarian catastrophe” has become the “punitive action of the Kyiv authorities” but not the rebellion of separatists supported by Russia.
This way not the missile attack on Israel on behalf of the Palestinian terrorists and terrorist attacks organised by them have become the reason for the blockage of Gaza but shooting and terrorist attacks have become “desperate measures in respond to the blockage”.
As for the proposal of Russia’s officials to “help Ukraine” it’s the same as if one set the neighbors’ house on fire, then added oil into the flame when the firemen arrived and finally proposed to feed the fire victims.
