Andrei Nekrasov: Why I will vote for Sergei Mitrokhin
Andrei Nekrasov, a film director and script writer, specially for YABLOKO’s website, September 4, 2013
If I lived in Moscow all the time and had the right to vote there, I would vote for Sergei Mitrokhin.
I have frames with Grigory Yavlinsky’s interview in two of my films: when he talked about Artyom Borovik’s investigation on the bombings of apartment blocks in Moscow in 1999 at Borovik’s funeral and when Yavlinsky told about unfair privatisation of 1990s. Both episodes show Yavlinsky’s stance on the key questions of Russia’s politics and history.
Among all parties participating in the elections I prefer YABLOKO. I also think that their stance on nationalism, which has been turning into a key issue, is very important. YABLOKO is the only political force opposing gradual legitimation of nationalism, which includes the support of Alexei Navalny as well. I find it necessary to support such a party.
