On 17 January, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of YABLOKO’s Federal Political Committee Alexai Arbatov celebrated his 65 birthday. YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova and Chair of YABLOKO’s Federal Political Committee Grigory Yavlinsky congratulated him.

You are a true professional, a politician of principle whose opinion is regarded by the Russian and foreign colleagues throughout the existence of YABLOKO. Your experience as Deputy of the State Duma, military and international relations expert, your research on military equipment and international law have made you one of the most distinguished politicians and our party’s pride. I am sure that your experience will be yet more in demand at the state level by all means.
