Grigory Yavlinsky on the elimination of the Dynasty and the Liberal Mission foundations
Grigory Yavlinsky blog post, 26.05.2015
Recognition of the Dinastiya (Dynasty) and the Liberalnaya Missiya (Liberal Mission) foundations as “foreign agents” represents an instrument for their elimination. The Dynasty foundation supports science and education from its founder Dmitry Zimin own funds.
The repressive law on “foreign agents” has been borrowed from the practices of the countries that were at the state of war in the 1930s – 1940s. The law creates the atmosphere of suspiciousness in the country and eliminated foundations and organisations that have been bringing positive results. All this represents an ongoing frontal attack on the civil society.
This case along with the destruction of the Academy of Sciences and scandalous non-effectiveness of the ROSNANO (State Corporation ‘Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies’) and Skolkovo (Skolkovo Innovation Centre) is the proof of the counterproductive policies leading Russia to backwardness and isolation from the rest of the world.
I am expressing my support with Dmitry Zimin and Evgeny Yasin.
