Youth Yabloko activists from 25 regions of Russia conducted a conference where they decided to unite in a cross-regional structure. The conference took place after a protest action called “14 years of Putin’s Russia” in Moscow on June 7.

YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin and Secretary of YABLOKO Political Committee made speeches at the conference.
Mitrokhin spoke about the reasons for anti-West moods among the citizens of Russia, the danger of Stalinism and nationalism and the way the parliamentary parties support the ruling party. Galina Mikhaleva gave a lecture on the change of legislative and party systems.

The activists discussed the establishing of a federal youth faction. As a result a cross-regional structure was founded which includes six working groups and a cross-regional council. The creation of the federal Youth Yabloko faction is one of the goals of the newly found structure.

Alexander Zakharov from the Pskov region also joined the cross-regional council.
