The Central Electoral Commission’s website has published the results for 97 of the 99 Yabloko candidates who stood in single-mandate constituencies. Five of the party’s candidates took second place, and a further seven took third place. The candidates’ average result was 5.74%, and 11 candidates received more than 10% of the vote. The party is convinced that the official results are far from the real figures, but even these results testify to enormous support for Yabloko and its “For Peace and Freedom!” platform.

All five of Yabloko’s second-place finishes were in Moscow:

— Sergei Mitrokhin — 15.12%, Central Constituency;— Alexei Smirnov — 13.09%, Cheryomushkinsky Constituency;— Andrei Yevteyev — 13.03%, Kuntsevsky Constituency;— Yevgeny Biktuganov — 12.83%, Tushinsky Constituency;— Polina Lermant — 10.38%, Medvedkovsky Constituency.

Third place was taken by five candidates in Moscow, and one each in Vladimir Region and Kostroma Region:

— Grigory Grishin — 13.22%, Leningradsky Constituency, Moscow;— Anna Shatunovskaya-Byurno — 11.53%, Preobrazhensky Constituency, Moscow;— Viktor Kogan-Yasny — 11.14%, Khovrinsky Constituency, Moscow;— Artem Snegovsky — 9.73%, Lyublinsky Constituency, Moscow;— Semyon Kovalyov — 9.66%, Novomoskovsky Constituency, Moscow;— Andrei Tarasov — 7.21%, Kostroma Constituency, Kostroma Region;— Alexei Firsov — 6.85%, Suzdal Constituency, Vladimir Region.

More than 10% of the vote was received by ten candidates in Moscow and one in Tomsk Region. This result was achieved by all five candidates who took second place, as well as by Grigory Grishin, Anna Shatunovskaya-Byurno and Viktor Kogan-Yasny. In addition, the 10% mark was passed by Maxim Makarov — 11.46% in Perovsky Constituency, Moscow, Vasily Yeremin — 10.61% in Tomsk Constituency, and German Chunikhin — 10.10% in Nagatinsky Constituency, Moscow. All three took fourth place.

The average result of 5.74% is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the percentage of votes received by the 97 candidates for whom data is available on the Central Electoral Commission’s website.

Comment from Ivan Bolshakov, head of the party’s Analytical Centre:

“Even the official figures show that there is substantial support for the demand for peace and freedom. Behind every vote for Yabloko are people who link the country’s future with peace, respect for human life and human rights. Their position must be heard.

At the same time, the campaign was accompanied by pressure on our candidates, restrictions on the party’s activities, and the use of administrative resources, while voting and vote counting were marked by numerous violations. The results were also distorted by remote electronic voting, which cannot be independently monitored. That is why we are convinced that the official figures do not reflect the real scale of support for Yabloko and our ‘For Peace and Freedom!’ platform.”

It should be noted that only 99 of the 135 single-mandate candidates put forward by Yabloko were admitted to the elections.
