Today, 16 June, the Pskov City Court was due to begin substantive consideration of the consolidated criminal case against Yabloko Deputy Chairman Lev Shlosberg. However, at the request of the politician and his lawyers — Vladimir Danilov and Vera Kovalchuk — the hearing was adjourned to 22 June, the Pskov Yabloko branch reports.

The prosecution no objection. A judge of the Pskov City Court ruled that the hearing would resume on 22 June at 14:00. Today’s proceedings were open to the public. The politician participated via video link, the regional party branch notes.

It should be noted that Yabloko Deputy Chairman Lev Shlosberg has been held in a remand centre since 5 December 2025. On 3 December, a third criminal case was opened against him — under Article 207.3 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the so-called “fake news about the army” provision) — in connection with a repost on Telegram made in February 2022. The relevant article was not added to the Criminal Code until March 2022. Lev Shlosberg has stated that the date of the alleged “offence” attributed to him in the materials of the third criminal case was falsified (https://eng.yabloko.ru/37347-2/ ).

On 8 December 2025, the maximum permitted term of house arrest — six months — under the second criminal case was due to expire. That case concerned the “repeated discrediting of the army” and had been opened in connection with the posting on the Odnoklassniki social network of a recording of a debate between Lev Shlosberg and historian Yuri Pivоvarov on the Zhivoy Gvozd channel, in which the Yabloko Deputy Chairman argued for the earliest possible ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, a recording which he himself had not posted to the social network. The second and third cases were subsequently consolidated. The politician has entered no guilty plea on any of the charges.

On 27 May, a judge of the Pskov City Court extended Lev Shlosberg’s remand detention by six months at a stroke — until 21 November (https://eng.yabloko.ru/38165-2/ ). The ruling was upheld on appeal (https://eng.yabloko.ru/38243-2/ ) on 5 June.
