The election of the governing bodies of the regional branch of Yabloko in Bashkiria took place past weekend. The delegates of the 22nd Conference elected a Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons, members of the Regional Bureau, and also formed the Control and Audit Commission.

Kristina Abramicheva was elected Chair of the regional branch for a second term. Speaking to the delegates, Abramicheva recalled the difficulties the Bashkirian Yabloko had to face over the past two years:

“I was elected Chair at a difficult time – the special military operation was announced literally a few days before the conference, and then events developed quickly and unpredictably: like many other regional branches of the party, our office faced searches and equipment was seized. From that moment on, it became more difficult to engage in political and social activities as we used to. Despite this, the work of the Bashkirian branch continued. We also suffered a great personal loss. The former Chairman of the regional department, Albert Khusainov, has passed away.

Since the majority of delegates have vested their trust in me for the next two years, this means that I will find the strength to improve the work of the party in our region! I am confident that, with the help of cooperation and mutual understanding we will be able to make the Bashkirian branch one of the most active Yabloko branches in the country.”

Valery Klimenko and Alexei Fedotov were elected Deputy Chairmen.

In addition to the deputy chairen, the Regional Bureau also included Ravil Konovalov (Oktyabrsky city) and Alexei Akimenko (Agidel city).

Nadezhda Avzalova, Alfiya Vafina, Liliya Khusainova became members of the Control and Audit Commission.
