Valery Denisenko, a Yabloko candidate for municipal deputies in Moscow, arrested

Early in the morning of 19 July, police broke into the apartment of Valery Denisenko, a candidate for deputy from the Yabloko party in the elections to the Council of Deputies of the Moskovskiy settlement, Moscow. He was detained and on the same day arrested for 13 days on the charges of “disobedience” to police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
It is yet unclear what exactly the reasons behind the arrest of Denisenko are.
The Yabloko party will render all possible assistance to its detained candidate.
Valery Denisenko was born in Krasnodar in 1979. Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Adygeya State University. He worked in the police as a criminal intelligence investigator of the criminal investigation department fighting against banditry. Supporter of the Yabloko party.
