Press Release, December 24, 2013
The Regional Council of the St.Petersburg branch of YABLOKO established the principles of the party’s coalition policy at the coming municipal elections on September 14, 2014.
The St. Petersburg branch of YABLOKO considers the active participation in these elections one of the most important tasks of the political opposition and calls the opposition political parties, public associations and civil activists to coalition cooperation at the coming elections.
The three main cooperation principles for YABLOKO are: the joint resistance to election fraud, the reform of the local government which will strengthen the power of the local government and the control of the residents over the deputies and the budgetary funds, and the rejection of xenophobic moods.
