Press Release, 19.09.2021
Yabloko records all types of violations during voting in the elections to the State Duma, said the leader of the party Nikolai Rybakov, speaking at a briefing.
“Carousels [when same people vote several times at different precincts], stuffing of ballots, people who died indicated as voters in the voter lists, observers are not allowed to see the voter lists, touch-screen voting machines are not sealed, home voting reaches 50% in some areas, voter books are not stitched or numbered, observers are prohibited from taking photos and videos, they are removed from polling stations and even beaten, portable ballot boxes are not sealed, there are malfunctions in the distant voting system,” Rybakov said.
He also noted that the Moscow region was leading in terms of the number of violations. For example, today a Yabloko member of the electoral commission was removed by a court decision at polling station No. 3667, where yesterday observers from Yabloko caught a carousel, which even Ella Pamfilova, head of Central Electoral Commission had to comment on. At neighbouring polling station No. 22. Where stuffing of ballots was detected today, they also intend to remove a member of the electoral commission from the Yabloko party.
Maxim Kruglov, head of the Yabloko faction in the Moscow City Duma, commenting on the elections in Moscow, said that in terms of the number of violations, Moscow returned to the time of Mayor Luzhkov. According to Kruglov, before last year’s vote on Putin’s amendments to the Constitution, elections in Moscow were relatively clean, but now it can be stated that the “Mayor Sobyanin’s election standard” ceased to exist.
According to Kruglov, the largest number of violations refer to home voting. For example, 190 out of total 340 voters at the precinct voted at home at polling station No. 829.
Information about the most significant violations that Yabloko observers have recorded over these three days will be submitted to the Central Electoral Commission in the form of a consolidated complaint by 20:00 MSK.
Yabloko publishes information on detected violations in a special Telegram channel.
