Falsifications did not work: Yabloko has 48 deputies in regional parliaments

We know very well now the events called “elections” are held in Russia: how they arbitrarily do not register in the elections the strongest and dissenting candidates, and how they falsify the results of the vote. Nevertheless, 48 candidates from the Yabloko party overcoming huge obstacles and despite actions of the authorities became deputies in 12 Russia’s regions during the so-called “single voting day” (lasting three days). Yabloko candidates managed to get support of their voters so that neither filters, nor fraud worked.
The deputies of the Yabloko party will from nowon be working in the Kostroma Regional Duma, as well as in the city councils of Tomsk, Kaluga and Kostroma. Party representatives were also elected to the municipal councils of Bashkiria, Dagestan, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Moscow, Novgorod, Omsk, Samara and Pskov regions.
This work is a direct answer to the question what Yabloko does in practice. Our deputies got elected so that to defend residents of Russia’s cities and towns from the arbitrary rule of local authorities, arrests, overstated rent and utilities bills and presumptuous bureaucrats. They got elected so that to help people during the quarantine and try to improve medical care and school education.
I congratulate the elected Yabloko deputies and all those who from now on will have real representatives and defenders in the bodies of power. We thank our voters for their trust and long-term support.
