Deputy from Yabloko actress Alexandra Yakovleva gets the title of an honorary citizen of Kaliningrad

Alexander Yakovleva, deputy from the Yabloko party in the City Council of Kaliningrad and an actress, was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Kaliningrad.
This decision was made at the meeting of deputies of the Kaliningrad City Council on June 17. Alexandra Yakovleva was born in Kaliningrad, in 1993 – 1997 she was Chair of the Committee on Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad Mayor’s Office and Vice-Mayor, President of the Baltic Amber Panther International Film Festival held in Kaliningrad. Since 2016, she has been a deputy of the City Council from the Yabloko party. Alexandra Yakovleva chaired the regional branch of the party from 2012 to 2018.
Alexandra Yakovleva starred in many Soviet films, in particular, most popular The Crew, Wizards, and A Man from the Capuchin Boulevard. The title Honorary Citizen of the City of Kaliningrad is awarded for life for outstanding services to the city. As a rule, the ceremony takes place once a year. This year, two more people became honorary citizens of the city: Honored Doctor of Russia Vladimir Amenitsky, and Alexandra Dubrovina, veteran of the movement commemorating the siege of Leningrad in the WW2.
