The Nizhny Novgorod branch of Yabloko calls on the Governor to abolish fees for capital repairs of housing and reduce tariffs for utilities in the region
Press Release, 1.04.2020
The Nizhny Novgorod branch of Yabloko called on Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, to abolish fees for capital repairs of housing in the situation of quarantine for COVID-19 and compensate for 30 per cent of residents payments for utilities at the expense of the regional budget.
“Many Nizhny Novgorod residents are alarmed with the introduction of the isolation regime because no one knows what will happen tomorrow, and new bans appear every day. I believe that the regional authorities should adopt the Moscow experience not only in terms of restrictions, but also measures of economic support for citizens and business. The measures we propose regarding payments for housing and utility services are contained in the Yabloko party’s anti-crisis programme, which has already been sent to the President and the Government,” said Oleg Rodin, Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Yabloko party.
